Botanical Illustration II - PEN & INK
Mondays 9:45am - 1:15pm Jan. 9 - Mar. 5, 2012

Drawing skills form the foundation of Botanical Illustration. This eight week class focuses on the power of beautiful line work through studies that allow the student to discover and develop their innate ability to draw with perfect accuracy. This course is a Pre-Requisite for any of the watercolor offerings. Open to all levels.
$200 session fee
$10 materials fee payable to instructor at beginning of first class.
Botanical Illustration - Advanced Techniques in Watercolor
Tuesdays 9:45am - 1:15pm Jan. 10 - Feb. 28, 2012
Designed for the student who has completed Botanical Illustration I, II, III, and IV. This 8-week course will look at the works of contemporary botanical illustrators while reviewing the work of formidable artists of the "Golden Age." Students will work to create cutting edge compositions using ink, ink wash, and watercolor. Open to students by permission of the instructor via email.
$200 session fee

Masterclass in Botanical Illustration: Watercolor
Wednesdays 10:00am--1:30pm Jan. 11 - Mar. 7, 2012

Participation in this course will culminate in the completion of a piece for exhibition in the AIDS Grove National Memorial Celebration, 2012 National AIDS Day. In addition to advanced techniques, assistance will be given in matting, framing, and professional preparation.
Permission of instructor required to register.
